Categories and Entry Criteria

Our 2025 awards seek to recognise achievements at all levels, and we are delighted to welcome nominations from all suppliers working across our frameworks.

The awards will be judged primarily on the achievements of the last 12 months, but evidence of long-term success will also be considered alongside this.

Deadline for all entries will be midday on Friday 11th April 2025.

The 12 categories are as follows:

Products/Services of the Year

The Best Product and Services category celebrates suppliers who have delivered exceptional quality products and services for the education sector. This award acknowledges the dedication and hard work of suppliers who go above and beyond to deliver outstanding products and services, making a significant impact on their industry and clients.

Commitment to Carbon Reduction & Sustainability

This category recognises the best commitment to carbon reduction & sustainability where organisations have demonstrated leadership, innovation, and impact in reducing their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and enhancing their environmental sustainability. Sustainable practices are those that minimise the negative environmental, social, and economic impacts whilst maximising on the positive benefits.

Young Procurement Professional of the Year (up to age 30)

This category will recognise a young professional aged 30 years or younger, and will celebrate their achievements, contributions and their potential as a leader who drives innovation, value and excellence in their organisation for the benefit of our member community.

New Supplier of the Year

This category recognises the most innovative, reliable, and valuable suppliers that has started working with Crescent Purchasing Consortium in the past year or any suppliers who are on frameworks which have been launched/renewed in the last year

The category celebrates the supplier that has demonstrated excellence in delivering quality products or services, meeting or exceeding expectations, and adding value to the business and its stakeholders.

Small Supplier of the Year (up to 50 employees)

This category (up to 50 employees) recognises the most outstanding supplier that is a small-sized organisation but has had a significant impact for its stakeholders.

This award celebrates the supplier that has demonstrated excellence in delivering quality products or services, meeting or exceeding expectations, and adding value to the business and its stakeholders.

Medium Supplier of the Year (up to 250 employees)

This category (up to 250 employees) recognises the most outstanding supplier that is a medium-sized organisation. This category celebrates the supplier that has demonstrated excellence in delivering quality products or services, meeting or exceeding expectations, and adding value to the business and its stakeholders.

Large Supplier of the Year (over 250 employees)

This category (over 250 employees) recognises the most outstanding supplier that is a large- sized organisation. It celebrates the supplier that has demonstrated excellence in delivering quality products or services, meeting, or exceeding expectations, and adding value to the business and its stakeholders.

Collaboration within Education of the Year

This category recognises successful collaboration projects between the supplier and CPC members. The winning supplier will demonstrate how the project was successfully implemented, such as a sourcing project or business process improvement initiative, working collaboratively with CPC members’ internal teams or departments.

Innovation within Education of the Year

This category recognises the most creative, original and impactful procurement projects that have delivered significant value, impact and innovation for our members and wider stakeholders.

This category rewards suppliers who have implemented successful projects, such as a digital transformation, sustainability or supplier innovation using innovative and best practice approaches, methods and tools.

 

Customer Service Excellence of the Year

This category recognises the excellence and achievements of suppliers in delivering quality products or services, meeting or exceeding expectations, and adding value for our members and wider stakeholders.

This category rewards suppliers who have successfully implemented effective strategies, policies, and tools to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention

 

Social Impact within the Education Sector 2025

The ‘Social Value Act 2012′ requires all public authorities to have regard for economic, social and environmental well-being in connection with public services contracts and for connected purposes. Social value refers to the life-changing effects that business actions have on people, the community and wider society.

Social value being embedded in all procurement practices provides our members with the peace of mind when buying, that there will be an overall positive impact on the local community it serves. Social value looks beyond the financial cost of a contract and considers how the procurement might improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of an area.

Outstanding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion of the Year

This category highlights outstanding equality, diversity and inclusion practices and celebrates suppliers that foster a culture of respect, belonging and empowerment for all employees within their organisation and wider stakeholders which include CPC members.
